As mothers, our days are full—tiny hands to hold, meals to prepare, homes to manage, work to attend to, and countless prayers whispered in between.
At the just-concluded Single Ladies Summit held on March 29th, 2025, something beautiful was birthed—a 21-Day Habit of Prayer Mentorship Class. Though it started with single ladies, the lessons are powerful and relevant for every woman, especially thriving mothers like you.
On April 4th, we reflected on the Lord’s Prayer, and I asked a question that I now pose to you:
“Can you say the Lord’s Prayer in your dialect?”
It’s a simple question, but it holds a deep truth: Prayer is meant to be personal, familiar, and heart-deep.
Jesus gave us this model in Matthew 6:9–13
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
In those words, Jesus wasn’t just giving us something to recite.
He was inviting us into a relationship—a daily habit of coming to the Father with everything: our needs, our fears, our gratitude, and our trust.
As mothers, it’s easy to give everything else our attention and leave little room for prayer. But prayer is not one more item on our to-do list—it’s our lifeline.
So let me ask you:
Have you been truly praying—talking to and listening to God?
Have you built a habit of prayer?
Do you still believe He hears you, even in the noise and mess of motherhood?
God is not waiting for perfection—He’s just waiting for you.
He longs to meet you in the quiet moments… even if they’re few and far between.
Hebrews 4:16 reminds us:
“Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Dear mother, no matter what your day looks like, God is saying:
Come.
Make prayer your habit. Your safe place. Your strength.
You don’t have to do it alone—He’s right there with you
